The new album Engines of Demolition, the band’s 12th studio album features 15 new tracks, including one particularly poignant song dedicated to Ozzy, Zakk’s longtime collaborator and friend.

Zakk walked around our Ganton Street store with TGF owner and designer Reino, who recalled many times listening to Sabbath and Black Label Society in the store’s subterranean workshop.

Zakk recalled visiting the store once before back in ‘88 with Randy Castillo, Ozzy’s former drummer.

Reino travelled to Birmingham for the Back to the Beginning show last July and presented Ozzy with a special bespoke piece to commemorate the occasion.

Talking about the encounter to Zakk, he said: “When I saw Ozzy he was like, sharp and witty and he was like ‘yeah, yeah I remember coming in there [the TGF shop] back in [the day].’ Then he showed me one of the rings he had and I was like, man!’

Speaking about Ozzy and Back to the Beginning, Zakk said: “I mean Ozzy was, like, hilarious. He was like, ‘I met Axl Rose! I never met Axl Rose! It was hilarious man.’

"But you know, Ozz was like, he had a great time... you know the camaraderie, with all of the fellas in the band and the crew and the energy from the crowd.’
